Derald W. Gibson

Derald W. Gibson, age 74, passed away March 13, 2022, in West Palm Beach, Florida after an extended illness. He was one of four boys born to Lloyd and Margie Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughter Wendy Gibson and his son Ryan Gibson. He was predeced in death by his brother Larry Gibson and wife Martha. He is survived by his brother Gregory Gibson (Anna), and Randy Gibson (Jean), and multiple nieces and nephews. He retired from LTV Steel, formerly Republic Steel, where he was a crane operator. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam war with the United States Army. He worked as part of the engineering division, clearing land and making roads for the troops. He was on the front lines. Derald enjoyed riding his bicycle around Lake Osborne and downtown Lake Worth to his favorite coffee shop. He also enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors. He loved working puzzles and he loved wildlife, particularly deer. He was a big fan of music, both live and recorded. He was very happy when listening to his favorite songs. Derald will be buried with military honors at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida on April 11th, at 2:30 in the afternoon.
