Denise Weinhouse

Denise Joanne Weinhouse, 75, passed away on September 5, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was born on January 11, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, to Edward and Mary Jane Donlon. 

Denise was born and raised in Brooklyn, where she met and married the love of her life, Steven Weinhouse, in 1973. From Brooklyn to Long Island, they began to build their growing family before finally settling in Wellington, FL in 1988, where they completed their family and had a life centered on their children. 

While Steven was full of energy and often the face of the family, Denise was the steady presence behind it all. She was a homemaker who created a warm and comfortable home, making sure everyone had what they needed. While she worked various jobs throughout her life such as babysitting and bookkeeping, being a mom was always her priority. Denise was a private person who valued her time at home. She could be warm and friendly with the people she liked, but she was also perfectly content to keep to herself and enjoy her own space. Those who knew her well understood both sides of her nature. She had a strong personality, knew her own mind, and stood firmly by what she believed was right. 

Denise loved to celebrate life by dancing. She and Steve would often be the last two remaining on the dance floor. She loved throwing extravagant parties, but her favorite get-togethers were at home around the holidays with friends and family. She loved decorating and cooking for Christmas, and giving thoughtful gifts especially to her grandchildren as she watched for their excitement. Christmas at Mom/Grandma/Mama’s house became a tradition her family will always remember. 

Denise loved being a grandmother. She treasured every moment with her grandchildren, no matter how big or small – from quiet days at home watching them play and joking with them, to going out to eat, or cheering them on at their many events. She simply loved sharing in their lives and they always knew how deeply they were loved. 

Denise was not someone who needed to be the center of attention. She was the person who made sure everything was there when the family needed it. She was steady, protective, loving, and dependable. She was the backbone of her family. She was a devoted wife, a supportive sister, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, and a loyal friend. Family was everything to her and she was their home. Her family will carry her love, strength, traditions, and memory with them always. 

Denise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Weinhouse; her parents, Edward and Mary Jane Donlon; and her brothers, Joseph “Joey” Donlon and Michael “Mickey” Donlon. 

She leaves behind her brother, Ernest Donlon; her children, Kimberly Church (fiancé Todd Williams), Joseph Weinhouse (Elizabeth), Kelly Arocho (Edwin), and Sean Weinhouse (partner Maxine Fouladi); her beloved grandchildren Edwin (Kamerin), Olivia, Liam, Conor, Shane, Mackenzie, Frankie, Gabriel, Benjamin, and Madison; and great-grandchildren Kaia and Kayden; as well as her beloved friends. 

A visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow the service; details to be announced
