Denise Eileen Ellis

Denise Eileen Ellis, age 65, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, passed away on June 11, 2021. Born November 14, 1955, in Lansing, MI to Oris and Dorothy (Bauman) McGuire. The family relocated to West Palm Beach, FL in 1962, where Denise and her younger sister completed their schooling. Her interests included swimming, baton, and playing the clarinet. In February of 1983, Denise married Scott Armand, and later that year she gave birth to her eldest daughter, Keri, and began her journey of motherhood. Her family was completed in 1985 when her daughter Lisa was born. She was also blessed to receive the title of "Aunt" in 1985, a week after Lisa was born, with her niece Danielle, and once more in 1988 with the baby of the family, Ashley. After a few years of working motherhood, Denise became a stay-at-home mother. In 1995, Denise and Scott amicably dissolved their marriage. She became involved in Keri and Lisa's extra-curricular activities. While in high school, both of her girls joined the band, and she became a super band-mom. She was lovingly referred to as "Momma Denise" by all the children and was well known for her "Mary Poppins bag". That bag always seemed to house everything one might need while at a band competition or football game. Throughout this time, she became well known for her fire engine red lipstick! While the girls were in high school, Denise met Larry. Shortly after they began dating, they knew they would spend their lives together. After both girls graduated, Larry and Denise married on August 30, 2003, in an intimate ceremony in her childhood home. As she began her married life with Larry, she continued to be the most devoted mother, but her life was changed in the greatest way in September of 2007. She received her most cherished title, Mimi. Travis was born, and while she chose the title of Mia, Travis had other plans for her, and Mimi became her new favorite name. In March of 2012, her second angel, Stella, was brought into her life. Her trio was completed in December of 2013 when her littlest angel, Julianne, was born. There was nothing Denise loved more than being a Mimi to her angels. She also enjoyed playing the game of Pokeno with her friends, watching cooking shows and chatting on the phone with her family. Denise peacefully went to be with her mother and father on June 11, 2021, with her loving family surrounding her. Denise is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Keri Chicano (Justin-Michael); daughter, Lisa Armand; sister, Pamela Jahn (Paul); nieces, Danielle Jahn (MIchael Cannizzaro) and Ashley Belanger (Joseph); and angels, her grandbabies, Travis, Stella, and Julianne. Denise was predeceased by her father, Oris McGuire (1978) and mother, Dorothy (2015). Visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home (110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach) on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with the memorial services to follow. Interment will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Our Lady Queen of the Peace Cemetery (10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach). The procession will commence at 11:00 am from Palms West Funeral Home, with the interment beginning at 12:00 pm.
