Deborah Richard Johnson

Deborah "Debbie" Richard, 60, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on September 2nd, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. The funeral service will be held at 10am September 8th at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach, FL. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Palms West Funeral Home. Debbie was born in West Palm Beach at Good Samaritan on September 12th, 1957. She graduated from John I Leonard High School, class of 1975. Debbie was married to Mike Johnson on July 25, 1975; they were married 43 wonderful years. Debbie worked as a Tech Media Automation Senior and had a long career with School District of Palm Beach County for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time on the beach with her friends and family. She was actively involved in Girl Scouts of South East Florida. Debbie was also on the board for the Association of Educational Secretaries and Office Professionals (AESOP). And was a beloved wife, mother, nana, community volunteer and friend. Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Ray; her mother, Barbara and her sister Jamie Lynn. Debbie is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 43 wonderful years, Mike; brother, Bobby; daughter, Jamie; son, Chris and his wife Catherine; her 3 granddaughters Abby, Summer, and Audrey and numerous other family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance, www.ocraf.org. The family of Deborah Richard wishes to thank Dr. Fernando Recio and his staff, the Boca Regional Hospital staff, the Boca Regional IV Therapy staff, and all the friends and family that helped her during her battle with cancer.
