Deborah Denise Graham

May 7, 1985 — November 24, 2021

Deborah Denise Graham was born on May 7, 1985 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The first child of Carl and LaTanya Graham, Deborah was a talkative and energetic child, always wearing a smile. Deborah was an avid reader, she loved to draw and paint, had an affinity for the color purple and she loved her family and God. In her formative years Deborah attended Peters Elementary and Faith Lutheran School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where her creative spirit flourished. From there she went on to Seminole Middle School and South Plantation High School in Plantation, Florida where she graduated in 2003. Upon graduation, she attended Broward Community College (BCC) for a semester before moving with her family to West Palm Beach, Florida and going to Palm Beach Community College (PBCC) where she obtained her AA degree in May 2008. While attending PBCC Deborah would be involved in many activities including the Black Student Union where she would meet lifelong friends Selina Hodge and Onitsha Faustin. Deborah also had various jobs over the years, her first job was at Wannado City in the Sawgrass Mills Mall where she worked as a doctor and taught children about the anatomy of the human body. She served as a teen peer counselor with The Upward Bound College Preparatory Program at Northwood University. She also volunteered as a court advocate for children for the Guardian Ad Litem Program in Palm Beach, Florida for 2 years where her love for helping people, particularly children shone bright. She worked for Macaroni Kid, an online publication which allowed her to interact with children and their families, during various events she would attend, and once again her creativity thrived. She would create rainbow colored macaroni for the kids to make necklaces as well as other crafts that suited the event she was attending. However, Deborah's favorite job was when she began working for The Royal Palm Beach Library in the children's department in 2016. Affectionately known as "Miss Deborah" by the kids Deborah created story times and crafts for the kids and parents to enjoy. Deborah was in her element while working at the library, a job she truly loved and showed off all her amazing talents. Above all else Deborah loved God with a passion and she made it well known to everyone she came across. Deborah attended Grace Fellowship, where she was baptized and was a member of the women's ministry bible study and Intercessory of Grace Prayer Ministry. Deborah felt at home at Grace Fellowship where she attended regularly with her siblings. Deborah spoke of the Glory of God everywhere she went, one of her favorite Bible verses was "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. Deborah dedicated her free time to deepening her relationship with God and studying the Bible on a daily basis. Her trust in God was evident in all her encounters, she was a woman filled with the love of God and shared her light with the world. On Wednesday November 24, 2021 Deborah transitioned peacefully to eternal rest in Heaven with our Savior Jesus Christ. She leaves to cherish her memories: her parents Carl and LaTanya Graham, brother, Brandon Graham and sister, Amber Graham along with a host of family and friends.
