Miss Deayon Esileen Anderson went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2017 in West Palm Beach, Florida due to complications following breast cancer. She was 48. Deayon was born on February 22, 1969 in Freeport, Grand Bahama, to Silburn and Rubena "Ruby" (Rose) Anderson. She and her family moved to West Palm Beach in 1981. She graduated from Northshore Community High School in 1986. While in high school, she met her first husband and from that marriage she produced her only child, Stephen J. Smith Jr. She then went on to peruse a Criminal Justice degree from Florida Atlantic University and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in 2006. Deayon had a strong passion for life-long learning, and was in process of returning to school to become an educator. While preparing to return to school, Deayon was a part time substitute teacher for Palm Beach County as well as Franklin Academy in Boynton Beach. Inspiring creativity and dedication in others was her life-long goal. Deayon is survived by her son, Stephen Smith Jr., mother, Ruby Anderson, father, Silburn Anderson, sister, Jasmin Wilson (Johnny), brother Dwight Anderson (Renee), niece, Cheyenne Anderson and a host of aunts, uncles, her god child and numerous friends.
