David Reed Staska

David Reed Staska, 62, of Loxahatchee, Florida, passed away, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his home. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 19 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, West Palm Beach, FL, 33411. Friends and family are welcome to come and share stories and live music. David was born April 13, 1953 in Lincoln, Nebraska to LeRoy and Elsie (Reed) Staska. He graduated from Urbandale High School in 1971 and attended the University of Georgia on a wrestling scholarship. On August 30, 1975 he married Diane Lovern in Ft. Lauderdale. He had a love for kites, robotics, trains, playing music, and most recently, spending time with his grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Diane Staska of Loxahatchee, FL; three sons, Matthew David Staska and his wife Nicole of Goleta, CA, Dustin James Staska of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Brett Thomas Staska of Jupiter, FL; two grandchildren, Reed and Kailey Staska; his brothers, Lee (Kim) and Joe (Ricki) Staska, sister Liz (Dane) Caldwell and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elsie, and his brother Mark.
