David "Florida Dave" Bunting

"Florida Dave" David Russell Bunting passed away at Palms West Hospital on October 1, 2018 in Loxahatchee Florida at the age of 64 following an unexpected illness. Mr. Bunting was born July 5, 1954 in Flint Michigan to Frank and Julia Bunting and the family moved to Florida in 1965. He was raised and attended school in Palm Beach County and after graduation He was employed in the concrete and masonry businesses as well as in various mechanic occupations throughout his life. David met and married the love of his life Kathryn in 1981 and afterwards welcomed their first daughter Nicole in May of 1982. The couple increased their household again in October of 1984 with the addition of their second daughter Sarah. They welcomed their third daughter Julia in April 1994, and would welcome their fourth child and only son David Russell Bunting II in February 1998. He was a devoted father to his children and set about raising his children with unrivaled support and affection. He has, and will always be, remembered by his family as a man of love, support, compassion and respect. Mr. Bunting or better known to his very large circle of friends and extended family as "Florida Dave" spent his life in the outdoors. "Florida" could often be found in the wildlife management areas or on the waters of South Florida hunting and fishing. "Florida" will forever be remembered by his times and stories about the outdoors and the countless friends and relationships he forged throughout an active and fulfilled life. Many will forever carry nothing but the fondest memories of "Florida" with times spent in the woods or on the water doing what he loved the most. David will leave an indelible mark on his family, his friends, his coworkers and his community. He will forever be remembered as a family man, best friend and brother to many. The impacts that "Florida" had on the lives of those he encountered has provided the evidence of a life well lived. David, having now heard the sought after rejoice of "Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant", is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathryn Bunting and his 4 children; Nicole Harper (Will), Sarah (Donald) Widing, Julia Bunting, and his son LCpl. David R. Bunting II USMC. He leaves behind 2 grandsons Donald Colton Widing and William Lincoln Harper and his siblings; Sister Julie Denney, brothers Franklin Bunting Jr. (Teresa), Stephen Jeffery Bunting (Lynne), Rick Lee Bunting (Sonya) and Todd Aaron Bunting Sr. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
