Sadly, David was predeceased by his father, Percival and brother Walcer (Bunny) Bennet. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of his surviving family: his wife Florence, his children; Andrew, Claudia, Hillary, Kevin, Orville, Al and Roshanna, and his mother Enid; previous wife of 33 years, Gloria and grandchildren; Jaden, and Caleb and many nieces, nephews and other family members. David's early years was shared with his brother Walcer and his parents, Enid and Percival in Kingston, Jamaica. He attended Ardenne High School on an academic scholarship due to his excellent grades and enlisted in the Jamaica Defense Force (JDF) upon leaving high school, where he served admirably for 33 years. He provided Training and Leadership development, guidance and mentorship to his colleagues and received an Order of Meritorious Service as well as a multitude of other honors; officially retiring in 1999 as Warrant Officer Class 1. He migrated to the States in 1999 where he worked with Westport Board of Education for several years, assisting high students on their journey towards personal growth and development. He later relocated to West Palm Beach FL with his Wife Florence where he continued with his vision to mentor and be of service to his community. He was steadfast in his faith that God was in control of his life. He volunteered with various church and charity organizations, using his spiritual gifts to help others. David enjoyed travelling back home to Jamaica on a yearly basis with his wife Florence. He also enjoyed music, playing cricket and "real" football and was a Professional Master of Ceremonies. He will be deeply missed, but the seeds he planted in the hearts of those who knew him will continue to grow and flourish for generations to come.
