Darryl Alan Gillum

Darryl passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning. Darryl was born in Cleveland, Ohio and relocated to Florida with his brother in 1981. Darryl loved his Family, riding his Motorcycle, listening to Music, Fishing, Racing, and trying to fix – or try to fix - everything. He was a huge Cleveland Brown's fan. Darryl loved to debate anyone and everything. He loved animals. Darryl was a strong person with the heart of a Teddy Bear. He would do anything for anyone. He was someone that once you met him - you would not forget. Darryl worked in the trades as a Plumber, Backhoe Operator and Estimator. He specialized in Construction drawings and Layouts. He was in the midst of starting his own business. He worked together with his brother, mom, sis-in-law, and nieces for many years. Darryl leaves behind his father, Denzil - mother, Mary - son, Douglas - fiancé, Carol - brother, Kevin - sis/sis in law, Cindy – and sister, Karen (Steve). Nieces: Jennifer (Chris), Sara (Casey), Melanie (Jonathan), Kimberly (Ray) and Leah. Nephews: Wayde, Will, Tyler, Kaelen, Tanner and Max and his dog Bogie. We still can't believe he is not with us. Darryl will be forever missed and loved. Services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Sunday, September 24, 2023, with a viewing to begin at 12:30 with service to follow at 2pm.
