Daniel Anthony Yannantuono

Daniel Anthony Yannantuono ("Shoe") was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on July 29, 1922. He was the son of a shoemaker, Anthony, and a dressmaker, Mary. Dan attended A.B. Davis High School and graduated from New York University. He worked as a life insurance/group insurance executive for many years. Dan was introduced to the love of his life, Mary Grace Servodidio, by his two sisters, Lillian and Gloria. Dan and Mary were married for 67 years this past September 14. He proudly served in the Army during World War II. He was active in many community organizations and served as President of Mt. Vernon's Community Chest and Italian Civic Association, Bonnie Briar Country Club and Greenview Cove. He loved sports and exceled at baseball and golf. Dan is survived by his wife Mary, his son Daniel and his wife Laurel. his daughter Lois Jensen, his sister Lillian Maise and many nieces and nephews.
