Daniel Lavernne Shiver Jr.

Daniel L. Shiver Jr. (Danny), 69 of Wellington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, On Wednesday March 24. 2015 Danny was born January 12, 1946 to Quinn and Daniel Shiver of Belle Glade. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Danny was in the produce business in the "Glades" for over 40 years with Hugh H. Branch, Inc. Danny was an active member of Christ Fellowship, Royal Palm Beach, where he served as an usher and host of a small group. Danny proudly served his country as a sergeant in the United States Air Force Danny had a love of photography of nature, enjoyed travel, loved to cook and entertain. One of his favorite getaway spots was Westgate River Ranch where he enjoyed "kicking back" and visiting with family and friends. A man of deep Christian faith, Danny was known for his love and faithfulness to his wife and family. He delighted everyone with his dry wit, his patience and silent strength. His service and dedication to his family, his faith, and his work will be remembered by his old and new friends. Danny is survived by his family. He will be missed by his wife of 37 years, Tammy Shiver. He was a loving father to Justin Daniel Shiver and Gerard "Ryan" Shiver, and the adored grandfather of Justin "Jay" Shiver. He is also survived by his brothers Michael Shiver (Janis), and "Bo" Shiver, and sisters Diane Leigh (Terri) and Dorothy Dewar (Don). Danny is also survived by his beloved father and mother-in-law and Hugh and Barbara Branch of Pahokee and sister-in-law Kimberly Branch Reinke (Charlie) nephews and nieces Michael, Jenny, Chris, Laura, Will, Holly, and Shawn. Danny was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Chip Branch. A celebration of Danny's live will be held on Monday, March 30 at 3 p.m. at Christ Fellowship Church, 9905 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, visitation starting at 2 P.M. prior to services at the Church.
