Consolane Alberis

July 20, 1937 — November 11, 2019

On the night of November 11, 2019, Consolane Alberis passed away in her home where she resided with her daughter. Consolane was born on July 20, 1937 in Martineau, a small village in the town of Plaisance that is close to Cap Haitian. She resided in Plaisance until 1966, and then moved to Port-au-Prince. Consolane emigrated from Haiti to Montreal in 1977 where she spent a large part of her life. Consolane was the eldest of eight brothers and sisters. Throughout the years, she worked very hard so that she could provide the best upbringing for her two daughters Doroty and Ingrid. Consolane was an independent woman who exhibited strength and courage in all of her doings. She had a heart of gold that was full of generosity and compassion for others. Most importantly, it will never be forgotten that she was a fervent servant of God. Consolane lived a very simple life with her daughters. It is through her work as a seamstress that she supported and provided for the education of her children. Her favorite things to do were to attend church, pray the rosary and to take care of her children and grandchildren. Consolane did not have many friends. However, the few that she did have played a monumental role in her life, and she cherished these friendships. Consolane…a strong and vibrant woman always searched for ways to love others, and was never afraid to express the love that she had in her heart. It is with no doubt that Consolane is presently rejoicing with the angels and with God in heaven. Although she is no longer here in the flesh, Consolane will continue to be loved and live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
