Connie Anderson, 57, died September 3, 2011 at home with her family by her side in Loxahatchee, Florida. She was born on October 10, 1953 in Queens, New York. Connie was devoted wife and mother, who balanced her home life with her passionate educational pursuits. She earned her Bachelor degree in 1997 and her Master's degree two years later, both from Nova Southeastern University where she was also employed for many years. Her enthusiasm for education led her to a career in teaching, serving as an adjunct professor at Barry University. Connie, always, the political activist, had a great understanding of the law. She successfully helped in the campaign and subsequent election of a prominent Broward county judge. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Dave; two daughters, Danielle and Jennifer, a son, David; four grand-children, Andrew, Aaron, Holden, Rebecca; a great-grandson, Justin; three siblings, Joseph, Tony, and Rosa; and her father, Felix. A visitiation will be held for Connie on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Catholic Church on Friday, September 9, 2011. Burial will follow at South Florida National Cemetery.
