Clotaire Louis, age 81, died on Friday, May 14th, 2021 at Wellington Regional Hospital. He was born on August 22nd, 1939 to Eloi Louis and Ametha Darisme in Arcahaie, Haiti. Clotaire grew up with 2 brothers and 3 sisters; he was called by his nephews and nieces as the last. His interests included family, music, dancing, and playing card with friends. When Clotaire is not home listening to his favorite Haitian music, you will find him playing cards with Chenet, Alfred and Manno. Clotaire enjoyed very closed relationship with his other relatives and friends in Canada, Haiti and around the United States. On Sunday after church, him and his wife will visit his children and play with the grandchildren. His grandkids called him "Grandpa or papi Clotaire". Mr. Louis leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Marie Andre Juste Louis; eight children (and spouses) Jean Claudel Louis (Judith), Marie Yvena Louis Doreus (Patrick), Jean Belzer Louis (Pierrette), Carline Louis Monsanto (Pierre Andre), Jordany Louis, Marie Bernite Louis Gelsaint (Wilson), Loony Louis and Jihane Menard; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Clotaire is also survived by his sister-in-law Joceline Juste and many nephews and nieces: Morales Geffrard (Cleante), Jacqueline Geffrard, Ismith Geffrard deceased (Yole), Louna Geffrard, Marc Monfort Geffrard (Karen), Gabrielle Sauveur (Agrippa), Marie Claire Geffrard; Raymond St. Leger (Yvette), Alix Louis (Josephine), Maxene Joseph deceased (Venicia), Joseph Lucien Louis deceased (daughter Judith), Wills Joseph (Michou), Cedi Joseph (Dolorette), Jean Hilaire Louis (Carmelle), Wilkenson Louis (Darlene), Jean Monas Louis, Sandra Louis, Johanne Louis; Gethro Agenor (Emilie), Bernadette Pierre deceased (Vladimir, Roberte, Kerby, Stephanie, Julie); Deance Pierre Carnel, Pierre Andre Pierre Carnel, Anax Louis; and a host of beloved relatives and friends. Mr. Clotaire Louis will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
