Claude Norman Boily ("Amos"), 61, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12 in his home town of Royal Palm Beach, FL. Born on Nov. 26, 1954, he lived in Lewiston, Maine for the earlier part of his life, and is a graduate of Saint Dominic's High School. In 1975, he married Louise Ouellette, and they subsequently had a daughter and son together. He was a skilled welder, and worked as a proud member of the Boilermaker's Union in various parts of the Northeast throughout his lifetime. He was an award-winning soccer player during his school years and beyond, and was also a gifted, self-taught harmonica player. He was was beloved by his family and friends, and will truly be missed. He is survived by his mother Gloria Boily, sister Denise Gamelin and husband Dennis, and their daughter Michelle - all of whom lived with him in Royal Palm Beach, FL; His brother Robert and wife Cynthia of Raleigh, NC, and their children Adam and Kelsey Boily of Fort Lauderdale, FL; His sister-in-law Valerie Aponte-Boily and nephew Evan Chase Boily of Sunrise, FL; His daughter Amy Verville, husband Erik and his grandchildren, Isaac and Evelyn Verville of Portland, ME; and his son Chad Boily of Lawrence, MA. He was pre-deceased by his father, Francois, and youngest brother Roger. A private service will be held in Royal Palm Beach on Saturday, November 19, in his honor. Family members may be contacted by phone or in writing in lieu of sending flowers or to offer condolences.
