Claire J. Pierre

Claire J. Pierre was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024, at the age of 93. She was a woman of deep faith who believed that God was always in control and "all things work together for those who love God and are called according to his purpose". She was born in Petite Riviere de Nippes, Haiti the daughter ofDieu Donne Pierre & Elias Joseph. Her mother passed away at a very early age, which had a profound impact on her life and led her to ensure a strong relationship with both daughters Carmel and Margaret. She was determined to ignite a passion for learning in her children and worked hard to see that they attended the best schools. She even shared her sewing expertise at a local technical school. Her entrepreneurial spirit allowed her to operate a fabric store which served her community prior to moving to the United States. In 1978, intent on ensuring extended education for her daughters she moved to New York and after 7 years moved to Boston where she completed a major aspect of the "American dream" and bought a home. Upon retirement, many years later, she moved to Florida to be closer to her daughters and enjoy warmer weather. Claire was a kind, hospitable, and loving spirit that impacted the lives of many by demonstrating her values on a daily basis. She shared her wisdom, culinary expertise & spirituality with all those she encountered. She was a dedicated servant of Christ, who walked a life in line with her catholic faith. While supremely religious she strived to show God's love to all regardless of their faith or background. Claire is survived by her two daughters Carmel and Margaret. Her grandchildren MicheUe, Ralph, Kenny, Kara, Carl, and Tanya. Her great grandchildren Ivan, Navi and Sean. Her cousin Claude. Joseph, Mary, Antonine, & Edouard. While we know she has gone to her glory and is seated with the father, Claire will be greatly missed and, in our hearts, forever. Bye Grandma
