Ciriaco Gonzales

Obituary On Saturday, January 15, 2022, Ciriaco "Ric" Paez Gonzales passed away peacefully at home, clutching his rosary, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 23, 1935 in Baguio City, Philippines, the son of Macario and Encarnacion. He graduated from St. Louis University where he met and married the love of his life, Rose. They migrated to the United States in 1986. He was a devoted Catholic, loving husband, father and grandfather. He made childhood fun for his grandkids by fashioning toys from scraps and turning soda cans into fishing rods. He showed them how to nurse baby birds with broken wings back to health believing every life is sacred. He loved people best and disarmed complete strangers with his easy smile so he could engage them in a conversation. He was happiest when he could make others feel good. He lived life simply, with kindness and gratitude in his heart. He will be missed by his children, Karina, Binky, Rachel and Peter, their spouses, Boni, Butch, Ron and Josie, his siblings, Gloria, Andrea, Patrick and his wife Meliza, grandchildren, family and friends who knew and loved him best. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Palms West Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church on Saturday, January 22 at 11:00 am
