Often times with no chance for good-bye, And those who are left sad and lonely, Grieve in silence and simply ask, "Why?" But the question is one without answers, And the comfort that others provide, Still can't keep your poor heart from wishing, That your loved one was there by your side. Yet life has beginnings and endings, And one day your heartache will cease. Though it seems like you'll never stop hurting, Over time you will find your peace. You'll be able to think of your loved one. Without wiping a tear from your eye, And you'll come to see death as a doorway, And not a forever good-bye. Gone, But Not Forgotten Don't think of him as gone away His journey's just begun, Life holds so many facets This earth is only one. Just think of him as resting From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing That we could know today How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of him as living In the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost And he was loved so much.
