Christopher P. Gearhart, 35, of Loxahatchee, Florida passed away on January 7, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Chris was born to Clif and Debi Gearhart in Iowa on June 16th, 1977 and moved to Jupiter, Florida at the age of 8. He graduated from Jupiter High School in 1995 and received a BS in Geography from Florida State University. Chris was hard-working and enjoyed a 12 year career as a building inspector with Universal Engineering. Chris and his wife Beverly were together for eleven wonderful years and married on February 9th, 2008. Chris is loved by many friends and family. He had a unique sense of humor which made it easy for him to be loved by many. He was always the life of the party and anyone who met him wanted to be part of his life. Chris shared many interests with his family and friends including sports, boating, fishing, hunting, and celebrating with friends. Throughout his life, he enjoyed visiting family and friends in Iowa and spent an extensive amount of time at his family's farm "Gearhart Proud Acres". Chris is survived by his wife Beverly, Parents Clif and Debi, and many friends and family. He is preceded by his Grandparents Earl and Josephine Gibbs, Bill and Joyce Gearhart, and Marie Hillebrand. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 on Friday, January 11th at 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church in Jupiter, FL on Saturday, January 12th at 10:00am.
