Christina H. Lechler

Christina H Lechler died peacefully Wednesday 12 August 2020 with husband George Lechler by her side. Christina was born 18 August 1959 in the Netherlands to British parents Lawrence and Shirley Henson. The family emigrated to Canada and then the United States in the early 1960's. She was first married to Michael Kilpatrick and lived in Gadsden Alabama for 10 years until he died. It was there she obtained her nursing degree and subsequently moved to Phoenix Arizona where she met George. They were married in 1990 and began a life of travel and adventure as an Army family with assignments in Turkey, Germany, Belgium, and White Sands Missile Range NM. In 1992 daughter Sarah Rowe was born in Augsburg Germany. Throughout their travels Christina worked as a nurse including as a school nurse for Hillel Academy in Kingston Jamaica and then for New Mexico State University. In 2005 the family moved to Andros Bahamas where George works as a military support contractor. In 2007 the family moved to West Palm Beach. Christina is survived by husband George, daughter Sarah Rowe (Loganville GA), sisters Deborah Covey, Victoria DeWalt (Denver CO) and brother Christopher Henson (Phoenix AZ)
