Chaunel Medley

It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Chaunel Franz Medley. He passed away in Bellingham, Washington on February 17, 2024. Chaunel Franz Medley aka "Chaun" was born in Kingston, Jamaica on September 17, 1982. He was the second son of Clive Newton Medley and Cherene Jessemin Barnett-Medley. His siblings include older sister Jillian, older brother Cheldon and younger sisters Cherika and Chandace. Chaun and his family lived in Mayfield and Kingston, Jamaica before eventually moving to the United States. The family lived in Brooklyn, NY, West Palm Beach, FL and Orlando, FL. Chaun was a fun, loving, charismatic, and energetic child. He loved playing with his siblings and easily made friends with other children. Chaun began his schooling at Amanda Marga in Kingston, JA. While living in Brooklyn, NY, he attended P.S. 241 until the age of eight. The family transitioned to West Palm Beach, FL and where he completed elementary school at Cypress Trails Elementary School. His drawing of the school mascot, a lion, is featured in his 5th grade yearbook.
