Charles Addison Morrison, Jr. Charlie or Chuck as he was known to his fishing buddies was born on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina September 25, 1937. Upon graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy where he spent two years. After discharging from the Navy, he then enlisted in the United States Air force. During his four year stay in the Air force, he met and married the love of his life Molly Lou Davis on November 22, 1958. After leaving the Air force, Charlie went to work for Pratt & Whitney as a jet engine mechanic. He stayed with them for 17 years. He finally left Pratt to pursue his first love, fishing, establishing a commercial bait business "Atlantic Raider" that thrived for almost 20 years. Charles had hobbies that kept him busy. He loved woodworking, creating everything from hand carved small knick knacks to several custom made rocking horses for his grandchildren. He also had a passion for gardening and loved animals. Charlie is survived by his wife, Molly Lou, his sister Diane Ruppe (husband Edward), two children David James Morrison (wife Stephanie) and Jacqueline Ann Ellis, his grandchildren Molly Gomez (husband Matt), Amanda and Victoria Ellis, David Jr., Kelsey and Christopher Morrison. He also has great grandchildren, Makayla and Madalyn Gomez and nephews John (wife Kim) and Patrick (wife Kathy) Ruppe. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles Addison Morrison Sr. and Laura Dillinger Morrison. A visitation will be held 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM on Friday, July 12, 2012 at Palms West Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 11:45 AM. Following services, Charles will be laid to rest honorably at South Florida National Cemetery, with Air Force Honors.
