Charles Russell Minor

Charles Russell Minor, of West Palm Beach Florida, born September 2nd, 1936 in Ironton, Ohio. He is survived by the love of his life Carolyn "Sue" Minor, his sister Pat Fujii, sons Greg Minor, Christian Minor (Jessica), daughters Jill Hickey (Michael), and Susie Surma (Dan). He also is survived by one of his proudest achievements, his 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He grew up in Detroit, MI, went to Wilbur Wright Technical High School before he joined the U.S. Navy. He served from 1955-1959 and was a reservist from 1959-1963. He met and married his Sweetie of 60 years on a blind date! They raised their 4 children in Dearborn Heights, MI and later Southgate, MI. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 35+ years and spent the last 20 years of his life in his own private sanctuary in West Palm Beach, FL. Charlie was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. His family was the most important thing in his life. He was incredibly selfless, generous and unfailingly supportive. His intelligence and memory for detail was a gift to us. His stories of past memories were so detailed you could picture them yourself. He could fix or improve just about anything and was an excellent listener. He was a one of a kind , and it's hard to imagine life without him. We all are so very grateful that he was ours to love.
