Charles J. Meszaros

Charles Joseph Meszaros died peacefully at his home in Wellington, Florida on November 3rd at the age of 91. He spent his final days surrounded by family, reminiscing about a life well lived. Charles was born and raised in Linden, New Jersey. After devoting two years in service to our country, Charles dedicated 42 years to Smith Motors in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Many of his customers became lifelong friends. When his daughter and grandchildren moved to Wellington, Florida in 1988, he and his wife, Clara, followed a year later. Being able to spend so much time with his family meant the world to him. Charles is survived by his children, Susan Horsch and Robert Meszaros; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Allison) and David (Aleya); his great-grandchildren, Aden, Caleb, Samaya, Ellerie, and Brooklyn; his brother, Edward (Muriel); his sister, Mary Ann; and his companion, Dolores Dwyer. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Clara Lechner Meszaros. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 6th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 11 am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 13645 Paddock Dr., Wellington, Florida 33414, followed by burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
