Charles Parker Corson, 86, died at home on December 30, 2011. A resident of Wellington, Florida since 2008, Charles was born on April 26, 1925 in Exeter Maine. He attended Carmel schools and after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Merchant Marines, rose to the rank of Third Mate and served in the Atlantic during World War II. After serving his country, he joined the Benjamin Moore Paint Company as a salesman and over the years rose to Executive Director of Sales. Charles was a member of the Bangor Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. Charles survived his wife Susanne of 37 years together. He is survived by his son, Sheldon Corson of Searsport, his wife Jeri and grand children Lani Corson of Astoria, New York and Heather Corson-Alareon and her husband Marlon of Quito, Ecuador, South America; a son Philip Toher of Rumford, his wife Cindy, grandchildren Katie Massie and Melissa Toher; a son Gregory Toher of Old Orchard Beach, his wife Victoria and grandchildren Philip Toher and Gregory Toher both of Windham, Jessica Toher of Westbrook; a daughter Cynthia Toher-Smith of Wellington FL, her husband Halsey Smith and grandchildren Zachary Smith and Kristofer Smith both of Orlando FL; a son Chris Toher of Mahwah, NJ, his wife Nancy; and grandchildren Michelle Toher and Eric Toher; and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service and internment will be held at a date to be announced in May 2012 with burial at the Highland Cemetery in Carmel next to his beloved wife.
