Celestino Ruiz Jr.

Celestino (Goyo) Ruiz, age 85, of Encrucijada Las Villas, Cuba, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday May 9, 2024. Celestino was born to Zoila and Celestino Ruiz on May 6,1939. The family moved to Belle Glade, FL when he was 23 years old. He married Marta Coll on September 10, 1966, at the St Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Belle Glade, FL. Celestino spent his life working for King Ranch and dedicated 32 years of his life to cowboying and farming until he retired in 2000. He loved spending time with family and he had an unparalleled passion for cattle and horses, which he shared with everyone he met. Celestino's personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on for generations to come and his memory will remain in the hearts of all who were honored to know him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Marta and his children Celestino Ruiz (Stephanie) and Zoila Hernandez (Oreste). Celestino will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren Victoria Collier (Garrett), Gabriela Pearce (Chandler), Celestino Ruiz IV, and Carson Ruiz. Celestino is survived by his sister Maria Pozo and his brother Remberto Moya. He is preceded in death by his sisters Maria Luisa Ruiz, Dora Ruiz, and Marta Ruiz, as well as his brothers Humberto Moya, Rigoberto Ruiz, Julio Ruiz, Marcelo Ruiz, Daniel Ruiz, and Sixto Ruiz . Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday May 13, 2024, at Palms West Funeral Home and Cemetery, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, Fl 33411. A wake service will be held during visitation at 6:00 pm. A graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday May 14, 2024, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, Fl 33411.
