Catherine Sacconi

Catherine Sacconi, born on May 3, 1932, in New Rochelle, New York, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Westlake, Florida. With a life defined by her profound love of God, passionate care for animals, and unwavering devotion to her family, Catherine illuminated the lives of those around her with her great charisma, beautiful smile, and sweet spirit.

Throughout her journey, Catherine’s warmth and kindness were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her enduring faith was the cornerstone of her existence, inspiring countless moments of grace and compassion. She cherished her role as a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, embracing each relationship with heartfelt dedication.

Catherine is survived by her devoted son, Thomas Sacconi, and his wife Elizabeth; her cherished daughter, Cecilia Cassitty; and her adoring grandchildren, Christopher Sacconi and his wife Tiffany, Alyssa Raymond and her husband Justin, Joseph Cassitty, Corey Cassitty and his wife Jessica, and Caitlin Poturkovic and her husband Kenan. Her legacy extends further through the joy she found in her great-grandchildren: Mia Sacconi, Braysen Raymond, Clara Raymond, Camryn Cassitty, Summer Sacconi, and Marina Poturkovic.

A Mass in celebration of Catherine’s life will be held on May 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Saint Rita Catholic Church, located at 13645 Paddock Drive in Wellington, Florida. Following the Mass, a burial service will occur at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2401 Davie Road, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, beginning at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Catherine Sacconi’s beautiful spirit and enduring faith leave an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love and devotion continues to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with respect and affection.
