Loving wife to her husband of 64 years, Rafael Peña; mother to Rosa Peña and son-in-law Martin Mata, Maximo Peña and daughter in-law Milagros Peña, and Leslie Peña; grandmother to Yovonne Peña-Mata, Joshua Peña-Mata, and Gabriella Peña; great-grandmother to Scarlett Rose Peña-Mata, and a mother to many in countless ways. She is predeceased in death by her parents, 7 brothers and sisters, and in-laws; survived by 10 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and unconditional love that touched everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Catalina was a selfless woman with a heart that embraced all. She had a gift for crafting beautiful garments that carried her love in every stitch. She found joy in gardening and could make any seed grow into a beautiful plant. She loved color, especially red roses. She had a special place in her heart for children and found joy in nurturing and caring for them throughout her life. Her faith was unwavering, and she embodied the virtues of compassion, acceptance, and understanding. She welcomed everyone with open arms and accepted people exactly as they were, offering guidance, support, and an open heart. Catalina's love and care extended far beyond her family; she was a mother figure to many, always there with a listening ear, a warm smile, and a comforting presence.
