Mrs Carrabell Voileane Stubbs-Hinton, age 58, died in New York, United States on Friday, March 8 2019. She was born on September 27, 1960 to the late David and Jennie Stubbs at the Bight, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands. The youngest of 10 children, Carrabell, or Clara, as she became known the majority of her life, made her home in both Freeport, The Bahamas, and later Palm Beach, Florida. She was the devoted wife, mother to 8 children, and loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren. In life, Clara was known to be a fun-loving, fiery personality. From the beginning, Clara was full of life, brining smiles to all she encountered. Her big personality could only be matched by her big heart. Her friends and family knew her to be the person you could always go to when the world was against you. She gave refuge to the in need, and comfort to those in pain; all while raising her 8 children, who she made the center of her adult life. Beyond her big heart, Clara was the epitome of hard work and dedication. She never gave up, and there was never a challenge she thought was too great. Often the challenges she faced seemed insurmountable to the rest of the world, but she soldiered on, determined to come out on the other side, by the Grace of God. She instilled these values in her children and espoused them to all she encountered. She was a beacon of hope and a testament to the strength we gain through our commitment to God. As a young adult, Clara built her home in Freeport, The Bahamas. Most of her life in The Bahamas was spent working in tourism, where her radiant personality helped her to provide for and sustain herself and her children. Though this was not an easy task, and things did not always work out the way she hoped, she remained committed and grateful for what she had. Later, she moved to Palm Beach, Florida, where she made a new home and became a beacon of light for new friends and colleagues, some of whom became like family. Here, she met her husband, Arthur Ray Hinton, and decided to make her final home. Later in life, Clara faced several medical challenges, and finally was called home to be with her Eternal Father on March 8, 2019. Though she did not overcome these challenges, we remember her for the battles she won, not the one she lost, for in the end this is a fate no man can escape. She is blessed to now join the Heavenly Host, and we are blessed to have been a part of her journey on this earth.
