Carol Ann Lyon, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18th at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, Fl. Carol was a 12th generation descendant of the Alden family from the Mayflower. Carol was born in Malden, Massachusetts, and grew up in Wakefield, Massachusetts. She resided in Sudbury, Massachusetts for 66 years. Carol spent 35 years as an office manager for an orthodontic practice in Weston, Massachusetts. She had a love of gardening, birding, reading, music, painting, and the ocean. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa McGaughey-Moyroud, and her husband, Richard Moyroud of Fl, her son, Steven Lyon of Bridgewater, Mass, her daughter-in-law, Kathy Donovan of Mattapoisett, Mass; grandchildren, Cinder Lyon, Amber Clarke, Steve Lyon, Lindsey Blakely, Sean Lyon, Connor McGaughey, Drew, Eric, and Brett Forrest, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alburn and Evelyn Connell, her beloved husband and companion, Robert Maffie, her two beautiful daughters, Laura Lyon and Lisa Forrest, and her kind hearted grandson, Wayne McGaughey. Her celebration of life will be extended to family and close friends in Kennebunkport, Maine, where her ashes will be spread in to the ocean.
