Carol E. Barksdale

Carol was born in Rochester, NY on August 28, 1936 to Joseph T and Laura V LaPlant. She remained in Rochester until the age of 13 when her mother passed away. At that time, she moved down to Florida to live with older siblings. In 1955 she met the love of her life, Wilburn Dwight Barksdale. they were married on January 28, 1956 and enjoyed nearly 66 years of marriage. Early on, Carol worked part time as a seamstress, but devoted her entire life to raising her family . Carol is survived by her loving husband Dwight of Royal Palm Beach, son Dwight David (Katherine) Barksdale, of Marianna Florida, Darlene Nadeau of Royal Palm Beach, Laurie (James) Adams of Jupiter. Carrol was also blessed with five grand children Brandy (Jessica), Scott, Aaron (Sabrina), Marvin & Sabrina; and two great grandchildren Krista and Niko; Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Palms West funeral home in Royal Palm Beach between the hours of 2 PM and 6 PM. A mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 13, 2021.
