Carmen Paul Palma, "Tom", passed away on October 14, 2015. He is survived by his wife Rosa Obando Palma, son John Palma (Susan). Also survived by Nina Iananuzzi (Nick), Jill Haines, Ritajean Quinn (sisters), Nick Palma (brother), Ron Joyce (brother-in-law), Christopher, Alison, and Matthew Palma (grandchildren). Carmen was preceded in death by Nicola Palma (father), Paulina Palma (mother), Sandra Joyce (sister), Matthew Palma (brother), Paul Palma (brother), Anne Palma (sister-in-law), Catherine Palma (sister-in-law), Bob Haines (brother-in-law). Carmen served his country in the Army from February 1951 – December 1956. He fought in the Korean War and was very proud of his service for his country. Carmen married Rosa Obando on September 21, 1957. They gave birth to their one and only son, John, on August 21, 1959. Carmen was a loving father and husband who put his family first. Carmen was a life-long member to the following organizations: Moose, VFW, American Legion and Elks. He was most committed to his brothers at the Miami Elks Lodge 948. Carmen went through all the chairs to eventually become Exalted Ruler. Years later he became Vice President of the South District for the Elks. His dedication to his brothers at arms, lodge brothers and family was built out of love and compassion. Carmen never met a stranger and was generous to a fault. He will be remembered by his infectious laughter and genuine love of life.
