Carlos Leon

Carlos Leon, 76, went with the Lord, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida. Carlos, better known to his family and friends as Charlie, was born November, 4th, 1939 to Angela Rodriguez and Asdrubal Leon in Holguin, Cuba, the youngest of 3 children. He graduated in public accounting from Los Maristas Catholic School. He married his beloved wife Hildelisa on October 8th, 1960. They were blessed with 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Looking for freedom and a better life for his family, Charlie left Cuba and moved to Miami in 1973. He held two jobs while attending night classes to learn English and later enrolled in Florida International University where he earned a degree in Accounting and Business Administration. In 1984, Charlie began a long career as an auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency where he worked until he retired in 2004. Charlie loved music and going to the movies but most of all, he cherished spending time with family.
