Callie Goodson Terrell

Callie Goodson Terrell of Sand Cut, Florida, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2008, at the age of 96. Callie was a life long resident of Florida. She was born in Osceola County on December 6, 1911 to the parents of Sam & Mittie (Richards) Story. She moved to Sand Cut with her husband Arago Goodson in 1932. Callie was preceded in death by her husband Arago in 1962; her husband Norwood ?Woodie? Terrell in 2000; sons Marvin Goodson in 1933 & Jimmie Goodson in 1981; daughter Sylvia Cox in 2007; granddaughters Brenda Goodson in 1991 & Danyelle Goodson in 1992; siblings Gay Story, Leola Harvey, Lena McWaters, Clyde Story, & Lincoln Story. Her loving survivors include sons, Robert Goodson, Ronnie Goodson, Charles Goodson, Roy Goodson & Darrell Goodson; daughters Lena Mock, Joann Willis, Joyce Weber & Betty Kelley; siblings Myrtle Crussel, Maxwell Story & Rosalie Jacks; and a grand total of 64 grandchildren spanning 5 generations. Callie was in good health, living alone in her home, until August 2007. Also, with a perfect driving record, she elected to stop driving her car at the age of 90. She was an avid card player especially all types of poker, and truly ?one of a kind?. She was loved by all for her unconditional love and support, which she gave so freely; and she will be deeply missed by all family and friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons Michael Goodson, Johnny Nodal, Ron Goodson, Jr., Ed Bensen, Jr., Roy Goodson, Jr., Chase Goodson, Chris Goodson, Wil Goodson, Shaun Willis & Kevin Rayburn. Funeral services & visitation will be held at the Pahokee Good Shepard Church of God (Bacom Point Road) on Tuesday, June 2, 2008. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM with services starting at 2 PM. Burial will follow in Port Mayaca Cemetery. A fellowship will be held at the residence of Roy and Glenda Goodson, Sand Cut, immediately following the burial. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL. 33407 in memory of Callie Goodson Terrell.
