Byruth (Penney) Mary Halperin passed from this earth on February 23, 2020. The matriarch of the Halperin family, Penney was a long time resident of Palm Beach County, Florida. A loving wife and mother, Penny worked many years as a buyer for Foster Grant in the South Florida area before devoting herself full-time to her twin boys and husband. Her days were full making a loving home that included neighborhood children, youth baseball and basketball games followed by grandchildren confirmations, graduations, and many other childhood milestones. A woman of faith, Penny was a member of Saint Julianna Parish, West Palm Beach, Florida. She later attended Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Her strong faith sustained her through family loss and illness. She is preceded by her husband, Jerome (Jerry) A. Halperin, her son, Matthew (Matt) Todd Halperin, her twin sister, Irene D. Pierro, and her parents, Ida M. Rogers and Milton Pagel. She is survived by son Mark Todd Halperin, of Royal Palm Beach, daughter-in-law Yolanda, and grandchildren Austin, of Tallahassee, Madison, and Courtney, both of Royal Palm Beach; her nephew Phillip Todd Pierro and his wife, Maggi of Lancaster, South Carolina; and niece Lisa C. Moshier of Woodbridge, Virginia. Rosary service and viewing will be held at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 28, at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, Florida. A Funeral Mass in her honor will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 29 at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 100 Crestwood Blvd South, Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
