He was the beloved son of Carmen Lawes and (late) Benjamin Lawes. He was the fifth of eight children.

Byron received his formative years of education at the Oracabessa primary and secondary schools in Jamaica W.I.

In 1984 he migrated to Brooklyn, NY with his siblings to be with his mother and other families.

He worked several jobs including the garment industry in Manhattan N.Y.

He relocated to Palm Bay, Florida in 2004 with family. There he worked at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral.

Today we reflected on the life of Byron. He was a loving, caring and jovial person. He had a personality of telling jokes and making you laugh until your stomach hurt. He is always a ray of sunshine in every room and life at any party.

Byron had a passion for music, the sport cricket, and cooking. Spending time with family was the center of his life. He is known to have a big heart and could easily get emotional.

Byron will be remembered for his charming smile and his sleek dressing. Also his sportsmanship, being a #1 fast left-hand bowler. He was a masterpiece at cooking delicious meals.

He is survived by mother Carmen, daughter Christina, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, grandnieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gone but not forgotten. May his soul rest in peace.
