Boodram Roy Gobin, born June 3, 1937, in Trinidad and Tobago, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2025, at the age of 87. Boodram was the second of seven children and spent much of his life dedicated to his work at the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) in Trinidad and Tobago. In 1989, he made the life-changing decision to move to the United States, where he built a new chapter filled with love, family, and cherished memories. He was a successful laundromat owner and was also employed as a supervisor with the Florida Department of Transportation for many years until his retirement. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Lynette, and a proud father to his children, Shiva Gobin, Suren (Lauren) Gobin, and Seema Gobin (Jeffrey Young). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, and loved ones across the United States and Trinidad and Tobago. Boodram will be remembered for his fun sense of humor, kindness, wisdom, and the warmth he brought to everyone around him. His love for his family and unwavering spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at the Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach on Thursday February 6, 2025 to honor his memory.
