Bobby Darrel Price

Bobby Darrel Price, 73, of West Palm Beach, Florida died November 23, 2017. He was born on November 8, 1944 in Morrisville, North Carolina to Carl and Vera Price. He joined the Air Force in 1963 and married Patsy Jean Walker in December of 1964. They moved to South Florida in 1967, after 4 years of service in the Air Force. In South Florida, he began his extensive career in Air Traffic Control. He worked in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Atlanta during his 38-year career with the FAA. After his retirement, he worked for Adacel and later Broward Community College in training and instructing other air traffic controllers. Bobby is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat; his daughter Lori Lovell and her husband Jeff of Valdosta, Ga; his daughter Staci Kresser and her husband Jason of Tequesta, Fla.; his grandchildren Emily and Garrett Lovell of Valdosta, Ga; and his grandchildren Ellie and Cami Kresser of Tequesta, Fla. He also leaves behind a brother and three sisters, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family members. He was preceded in death his parents, as well as his brother Bill and sister Linda. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale. A private graveside service will be held at East Laurel Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee on Saturday, December 2 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sheridan House Family Ministries in Davie, Florida: www.sheridanhouse.org.
