November 9, 1920 — August 5, 2011

Robert S. Collins, 90, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away August 5, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. He was born November 9, 1920 in Philadelphia. the son of the late Alice and Henry Collins. He served his country during World War II having fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Upon his return, he attended the Wharton School of Business as well as the Philadelphia Textile School. Mr. Collins began a very successful career as a textile manufacturer's rep until he realized his dream was in the creation of his own color and design screens. Bob created sixty patterns throughout this life and each was named by his inspiration. These patterns and their colors are the very essence of Bob - and his joy. Bob Collins & Sons has been a successful interior design source and this is Bob's business legacy. Personally, he was a remarkable man of varied interests. His wife, his friend and biggest fan of thirty years. He is also survived by his children, Scott (Nadia), Peter, Chris and Lisa and his precious grandchildren, Gabriel, Michael, Paul, Chris, and Lana; his dog Ginger; and a plethora of in- laws, nieces and nephews and their children on whom he doted.
