Blanca Iris Vélez

Blanca Iris Velez, 78 , died 11th of October 2018 at her home in West Palm Beach, Fl after a long battle with illness. Her funeral service will be held Saturday October 13th at Palms West Funeral Home, Royal Palm Beach. Blanca was born on the 16th of November 1939, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Clemente & Juanita Velez. She came to the states in the 60's moving to Bronx, NY, then relocating to West Palm Beach in the early 80's. Upon moving to West Palm, she went to work for the transportation department where she retired after 25 years. In her spare time she enjoyed being outside with her plants and spending time with her family and friends. Her family paid this tribute to her, 'Blanca was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, she opened her heart and her home to anyone who needed it, she will be sorely missed.' She is survived by children, Jackie Colon, Eddy Cebreco (Brooke Cebreco) & Blanca Cebreco and her grandchildren, Jarrell, Devin, Joel, Nina, Noel & Nico, Sister Mirian Velez, brothers, Jose Nieves, Luis Nieves, Victor Velez, Clemete Velez, nephews Carlos Alvarez, Luis Alvarez, neices Yanelise Velez, Maria Alvarez, and many more family in Puerto Rico and New York, as well as her beloved dog, Buddy, and rooster, Cheekie.
