Billie Elizabeth Bennett

Billie Elizabeth Bennett , age 87 of Wellington, Fl entered into Heaven on June 30, 2025. Billie was born and raised in Key West, Fl. Where every day was like living in paradise. She was a great student. While attending Key West High School she was a member of the National Honor Society. She also was active in Chorus, Pep Squad, Student Council and Junior class VP. In addition she was an active member in the Junior Debs, which is part of the Junior Women's Club. Billie was from a 6th generation Conch family. Her professional career started in Monroe County, working at the Courthouse. Then she moved on to First Federal Savings & Loan, and then Monroe County School Board. She also worked at the Broward County School Board, then Glendale Federal doing loan processing. Moving on to Boca Raton where she finished her career, the last 17 years at IBM. She was successful with balancing her family and career. She instilled a strong work ethic in each of her children and finally settled in Wellington Florida in the mid 1990's. She was able to adapt to each new home, make new friends in each neighborhood and get involved in the community and church. She enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Billie enjoyed working in the yard and spending countless hours outside cultivating beautiful trees, and flowers. Orchids were her specialty. Cooking Sunday dinner and having the family over to the house was a tradition for many years. She was an avid FSU football fan and enjoyed watching the games. The sweetness she showed to everyone reflected Christ in her. Her kindness and generosity will leave a lasting imprint on our hearts. She had sincere love and concern for others. By actively caring for those around her, she greatly influenced others lives through acts of kindness. This is where her true sweetness shined bright and transformed mundane moments into memorable acts of love. Predeceased by . . . Her parents, William M. Arnold, Cornelia E. Arnold and her husband, Glenn Al Bennett, her brother-in-law Clarence Phillips and Grandson Colin Shaub. Survived by her children, Stephen R. Stack (Sue), Karen E. Gorham, Monica B. Hart (Damon), her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her younger sister, Connie Phillips, and nephews, nieces and cousins.
