Beverly Schultz Bernard, 84, beloved mother, cherished wife, treasured grandmother, caring nurse and a social enjoyment to family and friends passed away on June 18, 2026. Beverly "Bev" of Lantana, FL was born in Beacon, NY on June 22, 1941 to parents Frank M. Schultz and Elise G. Horton. Beverly is survived by her two amazing children Jeffery (Sheila) Dearing and Kimberly (Timothy) Wade and wonderful grandchildren Madelyn and Julia Dearing and Christopher and Reilly Wade, and loving husband Donald Bernard.

Beverly was a devoted, loving mother raising her family in Wappinger Falls, NY. She attended Duchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY receiving her Registered Nursing Degree and joining the Nursing Staff at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY. In 1980 she moved south into Boynton Beach, FL to help her mother Elise and was employed as a Dept. Supervisor RN for Bethesda Memorial Hospital until retirement age of 65 years.

Bev loved her family and enjoyed traveling to see relatives in New York and Massachusetts. She also took many trips with family and friends to the Smokey Mountain towns of Ashville, Ellijay, Hiawassee, and visiting the coastal areas of the NC Outer Banks, Charlestown and Hilton Head Island SC as well as the Florida coastal area from St. Augustine to Key West and Disney World with the kids. She especially enjoyed trips to the Keys with family and friends snorkeling the reefs to see beautiful fish, water skiing, fishing and boating with husband Don. Beverly was a very active member of the Everglades Audubon Society, the Sierra Club, the Wellington Wildlife Rescue Center, the American Hibiscus Society at the Mounts Botanical Gardens as well as an officer in the local Laureate Epsilon Sorority.

Some of her most enjoyable trips were excursions to Alaska and cruises on the Danube in Europe and stops along the Caribbean. Beverly maintained a lovely home with unique family chinaware, ocean shells from dives and a historical lady's hat-pin collection. She enjoyed gardening, everyone's dogs and cats and family parties on the patio. Bev was truly loved, we will forever miss her.
