Bettyann M. Derisio

Bettyann M. DeRisio, age 77, passed away June 21,2010 after a prolonged battle fighting melanoma cancer. Bettyann is survived by her husband Stan, and her two children Denice DeRisio Perry and Daniel DeRisio. She also has two grandchildren Danielle Rose DeRisio and Mitchell Hughes DeRisio, and a sister Celeste Speer. Bettyann was born in Wayne, Pa., a graduate of Radnor High School and Penn State University where she met her husband Stan. After their marriage they resided in Fairfax County Va. for over 40 years, moving to Wellington in 1997. Bettyann was a very active individual with a great love for show ponies and horses. She traveled the horse show circuit with Denice for years and became affectionately known as "The Chief". She is a member of the International Polo Club Palm Beach and the Wanderers Club Wellington. Family and friends may pay their respects at Palms West Funeral Home Thursday evening June 24, 6:00-8:00 pm and internment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Friday June 25 at 11:00 am.
