Betty Sue Soltis, Age 80 from Wellington, passed away November 5th from natural causes. Betty was born July 16, 1932 in Cheraw, South Carolina by Eli Chavis and Sarah Wright. The small town South Carolina girl married Andrew Gurlides on July 12, 1948 and moved to Hollywood, Florida in the 1950's and established a Diner together. They had 3 children, John Gurlides, Loretta Gurlides and William Gurlides. Betty was widowed in 1962 and then raised her children with World War II Veteran John Soltis who she married in 1972. Together they continued their family with 6 grandchildren, Michelle Gurlides Damone, Andrew Mack, Heather Mack McDaniel, Jacob Gurlides, Megan Gurlides and Derrick Gurlides. She is survived by 7 great grandchildren, Matthew Damone, Marissa Damone, Trent McDaniel, Eva Mack, Andrew Mack Jr., Jonathan Mack and Jayden Mack. Betty was predeceased by her husband John Soltis, June 6, 2007 and her mother Sarah Wright on March 17, 1991 Betty's funeral services will be held Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Palms West Funeral Home and Crematory located at 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 Viewing begins at 10:00 am and service begins at 11:30 am The family asks that you join us to celebrate the life of Betty Sue Soltis.
