Betty L. Fulks

Betty Lou Fulks, age 83, of Edgewater, FL, passed away at her home at 6pm on January 14th, 2019. Betty was born on September 27th, 1935 in Martin, Kentucky. She was proceeded in death by her parents, David and Della Hatcher of Martin KY. Betty lost her father at a very early age and had been cared for throughout her childhood by her beloved grandmother, Ada Elizabeth Hatcher. My mother adored her. Betty had 6 half sisters from KY. Betty was also proceeded in death by her loving husband, Gerald (Jerry) L. Fulks of Proctorville, Ohio. He was 69 when he passed on December 21st, 1999 in West Palm Beach, FL. Betty was survived by 2 children. Michael Fulks, age 61, of Loxahatchee, FL and Scarlett Fulks Stefanelli, age 60, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Betty was survived by 3 grandchildren. Kristen Stefanelli, age 33, of Manchester, CT. Hailee Fulks, age 25, of Loxahatchee, FL. Dirk Fulks, age 15, of Loxahatchee, FL. Betty had 1 great grandchild. Carson Michener, age 1, of Loxahatchee, FL. Betty was employed in banking and later worked for the Broward County School Board driving school buses. She transferred to a position and eventually retired from the Florida Department of Transportation, toll collector for the Florida Turnpike. Betty enjoyed visiting her family, loved gardening and caring for her many flowers, plants and especially her orchids. She definitely had a green thumb!! She was also an avid Nascar fan! She enjoyed dining out and loved going to casinos and playing the slot machines. Family and friends whose lives Betty touched are invited to attend her services at Palms West Funeral Home. Located at 110 Business Park Way (441, St. Rd. 7) in Royal Palm Beach, FL. 33411. Saturday January 19th, 2019. Services are from 6-8 pm. Clergy will speak at 7pm.
