Porto, Benny, of Lake Worth, passed away with his loving family at his side on April 23, 2013. He was born in Belmonte Italy on October 28, 1937 and came to the United States at the age of 18 to pursue the American dream. He was a member of the construction business in New York City, moving to South Florida in 1972 where he became a successful carpenter. He ended his career working for 17 years at Walgreens as their Supervisory Carpenter. He retired in 2003 and enjoyed traveling, golf and home improvement projects. He was an active member of the Miramar Italian American Club and the Bellaggio Italian American Club, as well as the Bellaggio Community at large. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose, of 47 years, his children; Karen Nappo, Linda Kunstler (John), Nancy Gregorio (James), his seven adoring grandchildren, and his sisters Teresa Garritano (Joseph) and Anna Shapiro (Paul). Funeral services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Friday April 26, 2013 and a celebration of his life will be held at St Rita's Catholic Church on April 27, 2013.
