Benedetta Nebbia

Benedetta ("Betty") Nebbia (81) passed away peacefully on May 16, 2008 at home with her family at her side after a courageous fight with Leukemia. Betty moved to Wellington in 1997 from Merrick, New York where she raised her five children while working full time as an Office Manager in the medical field. She was predeceased by her husbands, Kenneth Nola, and Ralph Nebbia and is survived by her loving "Johnny" (John Silvestri), children Louisa (Ray) Dejohn, Betty Ann (Chuck) Colangelo, Kenneth (Phyllis) Nola, Paul (Monica), Nola and Diane (Lee) Rudnitsky; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Step-children Robert (Luann) Silvestri, Judy (Lance) Murrah, Diane (Joseph) Jackson; 7 step-grandchildren and many more loving friends and family. Betty devoted the last several years of her life volunteering at St. Rita Catholic Church and Wellington Regional Hospital. The family will receive friends at Palms West Funeral Home on May 20,2008. Visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., May 21,2008, Burial at Queen of Peace Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Betty's name to the Leukemia Society or Vitas Hospice.
