Ben F. Desir

Ben "Bengy" Desir was born to Martha and Gerald Desir on November 5, 1964 in Castries, St. Lucia. After completing his formal education at University of the West Indies, Trinidad in 1993, he moved to Florida where he had a successful career as a Business Banker. Known for his pleasant, polite and positive disposition, he radiated love, strength and never-ending optimism. He was well loved by all who knew him. After a valiant battle, he passed away peacefully on July 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife Andrea, his son and daughter Julian and Dana, his sisters: Marie (Richard) Monrose, Vivina JnLouis, Madge (Glenn) Simmons, Learah Peterson, Doreen Ernest, Rheumalia (Joel) Vaiti, and Monica and Rose Desir; his brothers: Haiden (Christina) Desir, Steven (Kitty) Desir, Gabriel (Margaret) Desir, and a host of other relatives and friends.
