BEATRICE B. DAY, our beloved "Bea" passed away at the age of 92 on August 15, 2014 at her home with her family and caregivers. Bea was a devout, Christian woman who was a friend to all who touched her life. She was born on September 15th, 1921 in Thompson, IL to her parents William & Sadie Brockill who had emigrated from England in 1913. Bea married her beloved husband of 63 years, Jack, in 1943. Together, with their six children, they relocated to Delray Beach, FL in 1957 and acquired Delray Awning Company which is still owned and operated by two of their sons, Don and Rick. She is survived by their children, Diane DiCampli of TN, Terry Day and wife Lynn of TX, Don Day and wife Regina & Ricky Day and wife Pam, both of Boynton and Susan Pooley and husband Bill of Arcadia, FL. She also leaves behind her 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, who have wonderful fond memories of her and Grandpa "Grumpy". She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Jackson Day, d. 2006, her son Billy and his wife Janie, d. 1989 and her brother, Victor Brockill of IL. Bea & Jack were members of the Castoff Square Dance club for 40 years and members of Advent Lutheran Church of Boca Raton. As a resident of Delray Beach for over 57 years, she and Jack were an integral part of the community, known for their devotion to those less fortunate than themselves and she will be greatly missed. The memorial service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, in Boca Raton, October 18th at 1:00 P.M.
